“The story so far:
In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.”
― Douglas Adams, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe

I am an astrophysicist, focusing on astrophysical fluid dynamics to understand the internal workings of planets, stars, and compact objects.

I’m currently a THEA postdoctoral researcher at Columbia University, thinking about how magnetars obtain some of the strongest observed magnetic fields in the universe. I was trained as a plasma physicist during my PhD at Princeton University and as a pedestrian physicist during my Bachelors at Caltech.

Back on our home planet, I enjoy hiking and playing soccer under reasonable gravitational and thermodynamic conditions. I also love improv comedy and the people I’ve met practicing the art form.
